When it comes to top quality commercial cleaning services, JAN-PRO consistently sweeps up the competition. Backed by its proven franchise model—which includes both Master and local unit franchisees—the brand has solidified its position at the forefront of the growing commercial cleaning industry. And as JAN-PRO kicks off the new year, it’s already anticipating record growth in both domestic and international markets.

“JAN-PRO has successfully opened its doors in many communities, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t new master franchise opportunities available in key markets,” said Scott Thompson, the brand’s vice president of franchise development. “From a growth perspective, we’re actively looking to fill in markets that are still untapped. Our thriving network of master franchisees has proven that our model works time and time again, and there’s no doubt that entrepreneurs who sign on to develop new market won’t regret it.”

Right now, JAN-PRO’s system is made up of 140 Regional Master Franchisees, totaling nearly 8,000 units across the globe in 16 countries. In 2017, the brand’s parent company—Premium Franchise Brands—is aiming to sell a total of 10 new master franchise markets domestically in addition to signing two or three international deals.

To make those 2017 development goals a reality, JAN-PRO is actively looking to partner with master franchise owners in specific markets. In the U.S., the brand hopes to grow in Des Moines, Iowa; Honolulu, Hawaii; Green Bay, Wisconsin; Madison, Wisconsin; Wichita, Kansas; Roanoke, Virginia; Las Cruces, New Mexico; El Paso, Texas; McAllen, Texas; Odessa, Texas; Fort Wayne, Indiana; Sioux Falls, South Dakota and across the states of Montana and Maine. Internationally, JAN-PRO has its sights set on locations in Latin America, Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia.

While those growth initiatives seem ambitious, the brand is uniquely positioned. Last year, Premium Franchise Brands was acquired by Incline Equity Partners. That means the brand’s strategic plan is now baked in with its budget, ensuring that everyone on the corporate team is on the same page. JAN-PRO is also enhancing its system by growing its franchise development staff—the brand is adding a Senior Director of Franchise Development, Don Tarinelli, to its team, who will be responsible for the Midwest and the West Coast and be stationed in St. George, Utah in addition to a Director of Franchise Development, Brittany McLennan, who was recently promoted and will be responsible for the East Coast. She will reside in Atlanta, Georgia.  Premium Franchise Brands also added a Franchise Development Sales and Marketing Coordinator, Elaine Shin who will support the overall growth and franchise development team.

In addition to those internal changes, JAN-PRO is also making outward improvements to its system. The brand is in the process of revamping its entire franchise development website and candidate portal, ultimately elevating the experience that its master franchise candidates have when joining the system. By incorporating FranConnect Sky into its online platform, the candidate facing portal now includes stages that prospective owners can unlock as they move through the mutual evaluation process. That Mutual Evaluation Process Improvement is expected to be finished and launched by mid-April.

The start-up costs associated with becoming a JAN-PRO Master Franchisee are also affordable for new owners. They’re based on a franchise fee of $20,000 per 100,000 population, which typically falls between $172,750 and $757,000, according to the brand’s estimations.

“There’s never been a better time to join JAN-PRO’s system. We’re investing more time and money in organizing our lead generation efforts than we ever have before, and it’s making all the difference,” Thompson said. “We’re looking forward to rolling out our new and improved site as we continue to expand our reach across the globe with the help of new Master Franchisees.”
