Entrepreneur: Meet This Year’s Fastest Growing Franchises

The annual list of fastest-growing franchises from Entrepreneur has been released and it may not include the trendy new brands you would expect, but rather companies that have sustained growth over many years. According to Entrepreneur, the average company on the list has been franchising for 24 years with the top spot going to Dunkin Donuts, a brand with 62 years of history.

Rankings are based on numerical growth between July 2015 and July 2016 with any ties for spots are determined by percentage growth. The companies on the list in total added 8,695 franchises in North America, and are showing no signs of slowing down.

Commercial cleaning franchise Jan-Pro Franchising International comes in at the No. 2 spot in front of well-known brands including Jimmy John’s, Taco Bell, 7-Eleven and McDonald’s.

A little bit farther down the list, you'll see brands with longer histories including Checkers* & Rally's with 28 years of franchising, and Dairy Queen* with 73 years of franchising experience.
