Nation’s Restaurant News: Togo’s Names Chief Concept Officer

Industry veteran Glenn Lunde becomes Togo’s first chief concept officer.

On Wednesday, Togo’s Eateries, based in San Jose, California, named industry veteran Glenn Lunde to the newly created position of chief concept officer. The sandwich franchise, which boasts 243 restaurants, plans for Lunde to oversee brand strategy, marketing and concept development.

Lunde’s extensive background include executive roles at Grocery Outlet, a group of independent grocery retailers, Einstein Noah Restaurant Group Inc. and Panda Restaurant Group Inc. He’s also had experience at Round Table Pizza and Taco Bell.

“Glenn has a proven track record of building national franchises into sustainable, profitable operators that achieve long-term success,” said Tony Gioia, Togo’s CEO, in a statement.
