TechCrunch: Facebook Rolling Out A Snapchat Clone In Its Main App

Facebook is making a huge push to takeover Snapchat’s core features and implement it into their own products.

Facebook is slowly taking over Snapchat’s territory.

The social network is rolling out Facebook Stories in its main app to many users worldwide.  The Stories function in the main app allows users to stitch photos and videos together to share and they vanish after 24 hours. The app is currently only available to users in Chile, Vietnam and Greece.

Facebook has already implemented Snapchat-like features on Instagram and its Messenger app. The move puts the Stories function in front of Facebook’s 1.7 billion mobile users.
