Lowell Sun: MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes Brings Better Burgers to Massachusetts

Two friends and lifelong residents are behind the brand's new location in the Merrimack Valley.

A new, fun burger brand is coming to the Merrimack Valley, ready to feed hungry residents fresh burgers and real ice cream shakes. MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes* is opening in Billerica, and it's being brought to the community by lifelong residents Dan O'Connell and Dave French.

Opening in the prime Treble Cove Plaza, MOOYAH will serve a high traffic area of town.

"That area is bustling with activity, with Chipotle, Market Basket and other businesses there," O'Connell said to the publication.

"The location is great, close to the highway and a lot of industry around there in the Route 3 corridor," added French.

MOOYAH is growing quickly, recently opening its 100th location. The brand has three additional Massachusetts locations currently under development.

O'Connell and French have known each other since high school, but just recently decided to team up and combine their experience to open MOOYAH. French is a chef and O'Connell works in real estate.

"I have no experience in restaurants, but I like to eat in restaurants all the time," O'Connell said. "We're excited for this new venture."
