Long Island Weekly: Playtime and Pampering for Those with Paws at Luxury Hotel

K-9 Resorts founder Jason Parker shares why they've created "the Ritz Carlton for dogs."

With few places allowing pets to vacation with their families nowadays, K-9 Resorts Daycare & Luxury Hotel can keep pet owners - and their pets - feeling safe and happy while they're on vacation. Founded by Jason and Steven Parker in Fanwood, New Jersey in 2005, the entrepreneurial duo started the business after being denied a dog of their own by their parents.

“We have indoor swimming pools and dogs who stay overnight have their own private room decorated with pictures, flowers and teddy bears,” Jason Parker told Long Island Weekly. “Our luxury suites have TVs. We’re the Ritz Carlton for dogs.”

K-9 Resorts is constantly coming up with ways to differentiate themselves from other doggie daycares. The franchise provides one-on-one attention to dogs, is an immaculately clean facility and hires pet lovers to manage the facilities.
