Knoxville News Sentinel: Which Wich Gives Back in Gatlinburg

The national sandwich franchise chain donated supplies to aid the Gatlinburg fire victims

As part of Which Wich's Project PB&J, franchisee Jeff Hensley has donated supplies to aid the Gatlinburg fire victims.

When Hensley found out that the nearby Pigeon Forge volunteer center was low on food, he knew it was the perfect opportunity to use his charity funds for the cause. Instead of pre-made sandwiches, Hensley delivered 6,000 slices of bread along with 360 jars each of peanut butter and jelly to volunteer Kate Colbo in Gatlinburg.

"Kate told me it would be better to donate the sandwich ingredients so they could hand out the 16-ounce jars of peanut butter and grape jelly to the fire evacuees to take with them."

Gatlinburg is one of many communities touched by Project PB&J, and there will be many more to come. As Which Wich VP of Coporate Communications says, the brand is in the business of feeding people, and Which Wich is always ready to help when it can.
