Crain's Nashville: Several Franchises Eye Nashville for Growth

Buffalo Wings & Rings and Mosquito Joe explain development plans and why Nashville is a good fit

There are many franchised concepts that are looking to make their way onto the scene in Nashville. Buffalo Wings & Rings is a franchised restaurant that just opened its first Tennessee location in Franklin but has plans for additional locations to pop up.

According to Crain's Nashville, Dan Doulen, the director of franchise development with Buffalo Wings & Rings said the demographic of Nashville caught the eyes of the development team for the restaurant.

"I don't know that we would necessarily want to go downtown, simply because those are areas that I think local businesses do very well. Some of the national brands may be better suited around that loop closer to the suburbs,” Doulen explained.

Mosquito Joe* already has a location on the city's south side but CEO Kevin Wilson says they are looking to add at least two more locations in Nashville.

"I love Nashville,” Wilson told Crain’s Nashville. “On a personal note, I think it's a vibrant, wonderful place. From a business point of view, you have a lot of people moving there. It's a really robust economy. We just think that Nashville works because it has a longer season, lots of trees, water and all the right conditions to make it a great opportunity for someone.”

Both Buffalo Wings & Rings and Mosquito Joe are looking further into development in Nashville.
