Denny’s, the family-dining restaurant chain, is targeting Millennials with its new animated web series called “The Grand Slams,” which launches Oct 15. The pancake house has partnered with Burbank, Calif.-based Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, the masterminds behind the Emmy-winning series “Robot Chicken,”  and will feature characters Egg, Pancake, Sausage and Bacon – a nod to the brand’s iconic Grand Slam menu item. The animated series follows the diner characters as they go on new adventures. Following the debut, new episodes will be released through January. “As we continue to grow as a brand and engage with our millennial audience both on-and-offline, it is important we extend conversations beyond our diner walls and into the social world where they live and breathe,” said John Dillon, vice president of marketing for Denny’s. “Stoopid Buddy Stoodios has helped us to create this unique series that brings our brand to life in a fun, fresh way, which will allow us to connect in a manner that’s relevant, and on their terms.” Check out the trailer below:
