Daily Herald: Gloria Jean's Coffees Opens in Stratford Square Mall

Even though Gloria Jean Kvetko sold the company made in her namesake 24 years ago, she still finds the time to visit the specialty coffee company with regularity. 

Gloria Jean's Coffees is making its return to the Stratford Square Mall in Bloomingdale, Ill., and celebrated its opening with Gloria Jean, longtime employee Barbara Geraghty, and franchisees Mudzi Alvi and Nick Patel on-hand. 

"I can't give it up," Kvetko told the Daily Herald. "I love everything about it -- past tense and now. I still have the same passion."

And, according Alvi, the mall needed a coffee shop like the one they've provided since they've been open for the past month. 

"We want to get our message across that what started back in 1979 still exists," Alvi said. "And we are still the best coffee place in this country."
