Dairy Queen® is planning to expand in the Boston Market, specifically in the Amherst area. The brand is looking to develop its Grill & Chill
® restaurant concept in the area.
The brand is looking to expand from 33 locations to 93 locations within the next five years. Mike Mettler, director of national franchise sales for International Dairy Queen Inc., told Mass Live that Massachusetts is a growing market and they are looking forward to expanding.
"Dairy Queen is targeting the area with the most customers and strongest demographics for our fans," Mettler said. "By doing this, we can open new locations to provide these fans with Dairy Queen products in their local communities that may currently be underserved. "
