Social Geek Radio: How to Build Brand Loyalty With Sensory Marketing

Katie Johnson of Voice Solutions speaks with Social Geek Radio about how sensory marketing can make or break a customer’s experience.

What a customer smells and hears, and the digital interactions they engage at a business have the ability to instill long-lasting memories tied with a brand, urging them to stay longer and spend more. On this week’s Social Geek Radio podcast, Voice Solutions business development manager Katie Johnson speaks with host Deb Evans about the different types of sensory marketing solutions businesses can implement, and how that could affect brand loyalty.

“At Voice Solutions, we want to make your environment speak for itself,” says Johnson. “Sensory marketing is a tactic that utilizes the senses to forge strong emotional connections between brands and their customers.”

Of the senses discussed, the most prominent were smell and music. According to Johnson, scent is the strongest memory trigger that people experience, so creating a custom scent for a brand helps customers create lasting, fond memories. For music, Johnson urges businesses to make sure they’re only playing licensed music. Voice Solutions provides brands with a variety of playlists filled with only licensed music, so brand’s don’t have to continue worrying about music.

“Being able to have control of music for different crowds and schedule that is just going to increase your customer satisfaction and increase the amount of time they’re going to be spending in your establishment,” says Johnson.
