San Francisco Business Times: Togo’s Announces Ongoing Expansion Plans Throughout Bay Area

The local sandwich chain is aiming to open 15 to 20 new stores in the Bay Area.

Togo's is planning a large expansion of the Bay Area starting in 2017, and the San Francisco Business Times recently conducted an interview with Chief Development Officer Todd Peterson about the brand and their development strategy.

According to the piece, Togo's is planning to open 15-20 locations over the next several years, with a focus on finding qualified franchisee partners throughout the Bay Area.

Said Peterson to the Business Times, "We see a great opportunity to fill in some areas that are currently under-served in the Bay Area. As the market has continued to grow and add population, we need to make sure we have stores in those areas that are convenient for our consumers."

The article also mentions that Bay Area expansion made perfect sense as the brand already has a great following close to its home market of San Jose.

Said Peterson, "Togo’s guests have spoken – they want more locations in their neighborhoods and near their workplace and we plan to make that happen."
