QSR Magazine: How to Get Creative with Breakfast

It’s time for brands to get more excited about the most important meal of the day.

Breakfast is still a matter of routine for many consumers and quick-service restaurants need to get creative to fuel brand growth in this category, according to a recent QSR Magazine article. “People [often] eat the same thing every day for breakfast, and the range of items and ingredients is narrow,” said chief marketing officer at CKE Restaurants, parent of Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s, adding that this makes for “an interesting challenge when it comes to product development.”

The No. 1 choice for breakfast continues to be eggs and bacon for consumers but healthy alternatives such as egg whites or inspiration from other dayparts are breaking through. All day breakfast options from Jack in the Box or McDonald’s are also bringing a spotlight to the morning menu.
