Adweek: Now You Can Link to Websites on Snapchat, Which Is Good for Brands and Publishers
Marketers will be able to increase organic traffic from the mobile app.
Snapchat’s newest feature will excite brands, publishers and marketers trying to increase traffic to their mobile pages from the app. According to a recent Adweek article, Snapchat is introducing Paperclip, which will give users the ability to attach a link to their Snaps before they share.
Previously, the only way to include a link in the platform was through advertising. Now, users can tap on the paperclip icon within Snapchat’s toolkit and continue to direct users to their website. With Paperclip comes Voice Filters and Backdrops, two additional features to keep users engaged.
This new feature also gives Snapchat a competitive advantage over Instagram, where you can still only include a link in the bio section of a user profile.
