QSR Magazine: Chick-fil-A Testing Family Style Meals, New Sides

Responding to customer demand, Chick-fil-A tests out new sides and family meal options.

As take-out and delivery become more popular in the quick-service industry, Chick-fil-A is testing out new options for its customers. According to a recent QSR Magazine article, the brand is trying family style meal kits and new sides in Greensboro, North Carolina to meet consumer demand. The chain also reports that 36 percent of its dinner customers are taking their meal to go.

“Our customers told us that they wanted an even more convenient way to share meals at home or on the go, so we worked directly with a group of parents to design every part of Family Style Meals—down to the cutlery caddy that features five unique conversation starter questions to help customers connect over mealtime,” said Matt Abercrombie, manager of menu development at Chick-fil-A.

Family Style Meals include one entrée, two sides and eight Mini Rolls for a family of four. Customers can choose to add more entrées, sides and beverages. Side options will be bacon baked beans, a fruit cup, mac & cheese, a side salad or the superfood side.
