Caribou Coffee will be buying Bruegger’s Bagels from its parent company Le Duff America, according to a recent QSR Magazine article. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed and Le Duff America plans to expand internationally with concepts including la Madeline French Bakery Café and Brioche Doree after closing the Bruegger’s deal in September.

"The recent transactions strongly reinforce our balance sheet and shift our mindset so we can focus on our French heritage brands, including the upcoming U.S. launch of Brioche Doree, and continued growth in North America through franchising,” said Le Duff America CEO Olivier Poirot.

Caribou Coffee’s parent company, JAB Holdings, has acquired both Panera Bread and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts in the last year and owns several other coffee brands. The idea of opening co-locations for Caribou Coffee and Bruegger’s has been discussed.
