Fast Casual: Melt Shop signs 1st domestic franchise agreement

Melt Shop has signed an agreement with 717 Food Group to open its first franchise location. According to a recent article in Fast Casual, this new location will open in Staten Island, New York next year. 

"We're thrilled that just weeks after the announcement of our franchise program launch, we've signed our first franchisee — and in our own backyard. 717 Food Group's passion and excitement for Melt Shop combined with their hospitality and operations experience and achievements makes them the perfect partner," said founder Spencer Rubin.

Melt Shop currently has a total of eight corporate locations. It has also recently signed agreements for several franchise locations to open in the Middle East. It is the company's goal to reach 100 locations within the next five years.
