Fox Business: Cyber Monday 2017: The Biggest Online Shopping Day in History

Online sales this holiday season are expected to cross the $100 billion mark for the first time.

Shoppers were ready to spend on Cyber Monday. According to a recent Fox Business article, the online shopping holiday saw consumers spend $6.59 billion. That’s over $1 billion more than what was spent on Cyber Monday last year.

The record breaking Cyber Monday sales numbers show the strength behind the online shopping trend—between November 1 and November 27 of this year, there’s been a total of $50 billion in online revenue. And that number is expected to continue climbing throughout the rest of the year—Adobe is predicting that this will be the first holiday season to break the $100 billion mark. Mobile shopping is also continuing to become more popular, and it’s playing a significant role in these significant online sales. On Monday, the number of shoppers using mobile devices set a new record by jumping to 47.4 percent of visits.
