QSR Magazine: Taco Bell Bolsters Leadership, Hires New President

Julie Fells Masino joins the Taco Bell team as Brand President.

Taco Bell is giving its leadership team a boost in the new year. According to a recent QSR Magazine article, the brand is bringing on Julie Fells Masino as Brand President to help deliver same-store sales growth with innovation, new store development and a seamless customer experience. With Masino on board, CEO Brian Niccol can focus on the company’s growth globally and its goal of becoming a $15 billion company with 9,000 restaurants by 2022.

“We are proud of the momentum the Taco Bell brand has seen globally, and the continued growth here at home,” says Brian Niccol, CEO, Taco Bell Corp. “We are expanding our leadership team and are excited to bring on Julie as Brand President to continue our success and innovation, with a renewed focus on technology and greater access to the brand for consumers.”

Masino’s last gig before Taco Bell was leading the Fisher Price Division at Matterl Inc., but she does have extensive restaurant industry experience from Starbuck and Sprinkles Cupcakes, Inc. She has worked in operations, marketing and strategy both globally and domestically.
