After years of closing stores and declining store traffic, Long John Silver’s is refreshing the brand in multiple ways. According to a recent Nation’s Restaurant News article, the brand transformation includes grilled seafood items, soft-serve, new store exteriors and interiors and a digital drive-thru menu board.

Plated meals with Wild Alaskan Pink salmon or shrimp will be rolled out to its 1,000 locations in the next two years, most of which are franchise locations. Grilled seafood tacos and bowls are other new flavors and menu items that will be introduced to customers. Soft-serve frozen treats will be offered to help increase summer sales.

Long John Silver’s will have a new flagship store in Louisville, Kentucky to showcase all of the changes first before adding to locations nationwide. One of those updates will be 55-inch high-definition video screens and computers allowing for quick menu changes and customization. New designs to the store will feature the brand’s blue and yellow with nautical accents.
