According to the most recent studies, the remodeling industry is set to see even more growth in 2018, with new estimates showing a rise of more than 5% this year. And while homeowners scramble to keep their homes up to date and competitive in a tight real estate market, home remodeling franchises are also seeing tremendous returns for entrepreneurs looking to get into the business.

1851franchise.com recently sat down with President Zach Nolte and Director of Marketing Troy Boelke of Kitchen Solvers to see what has the brand on such a torrid pace to start 2018.

As we head into 2018, what makes Kitchen Solvers a unique franchise brand that stands out?

Boelke: The Kitchen Solvers Brand has existed since 1984 when it pioneered the kitchen remodeling service category of cabinet refacing.  Over the years, Kitchen Solvers has evolved into a one-stop shop for most kitchen and bath remodeling projects.  We have sought to create a product line-up that offers only high-quality products with pricing that can meet the needs of an array of consumer budgets.

In that time, we have also created a brand reputation based around impeccable customer service.  The Kitchen Solvers Pleasant Remodeling Experience is not just a mantra at Kitchen Solvers, it’s how we do business.  It truly lays the groundwork to ensure Kitchen Solvers gives customers a hassle-free, highly professional, remodeling experience.

Nolte: Kitchen Solvers’ training and support are second to none in this sector of the franchise world.  Our initial intensive on-site training program, accompanied by our continued ongoing franchisee training and support every step of the way, provides resources that are invaluable when it comes to getting a new business off the ground.  The Home Office team at Kitchen Solvers is great at identifying specific strengths and weaknesses of our franchisees and providing the necessary training to allow them the best chance at success.

What has growth looked like over the last year for the brand?

Boelke: 2017 saw a system wide 16% increase in sales from 2016. There has been a consistent yearly increase in sales for Kitchen Solvers franchises during the course of the last 4 years.

What do you anticipate growth will look like in 2018?

Nolte: 2018 looks to be a great year of growth for the Kitchen Solvers franchise system. Our franchise development program has us on pace to open 10-12 new markets throughout the United States. With an optimistic remodeling industry climate, we are also anticipating an additional 18-22% in system sales growth over 2017.

Are there any new initiatives or things people should be looking out for this year?

Boelke: We are always dedicated to staying on top of the latest technological trends that can really help our franchisees in the day to day operations of their business. We will also be looking to stay focused on creating fresh marketing content, especially video content. We are seeking to produce quality video content for everything from advertising to educational videos.

Why should prospective franchisees be looking at Kitchen Solvers in 2018?

Nolte: If someone has a desire to break into the highly lucrative remodeling industry the time could not be better. To be able to do so with a respected brand that provides the complete business package, including a high level of ongoing support, can make the prospective entrepreneur’s life that much easier.

At the end of the day, however, the greatest satisfaction comes from delivering dream kitchens to countless homeowners in the communities that Kitchen Solvers does business.
