Fast Casual: Kitchen United Brings on Former Taco Bell Chief Development Officer

The restaurant technology brand hopes industry veterans will help with growth.

Kitchen United is bringing top restaurant leaders to its leadership team. According to a recent Fast Casual article, its latest addition is former Taco Bell Chief Development Officer Meredith Sandland, who will be joining the team as COO.

"She embodies the strong business instincts, deep knowledge of the industry, extensive leadership and passion that will drive our mission forward," said Kitchen United CEO Jim Collins. "We have ambitious goals for 2018, and the addition of Meredith will enable us to help restaurant operators and independent food professionals expand their footprint and integrate seamlessly with delivery operations by using our turnkey back-of-house infrastructure."

Kitchen United is on a mission to improve efficiency for restaurants offering fresh food for takeout, catering and delivery purposes with its POS software, back-of-house automation and order interfaces. Sandland plans to oversee business strategy and help drive revenue for the company nationally. Her experience at Yum Brands includes overseeing an increase of $1 billion in sales to the Taco Bell system.
