Entrepreneur: This Entrepreneur's First Gift to Himself--a Huge House on the Shore

Many times, signing on with a franchise is the first step to accomplishing one's dreams. For former Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa owner Steve Vicario, that dream was owning a shore house on the Jersey shore. Entrepreneur detailed Vicario's journey from saving money while working three jobs to becoming a Hand & Stone regional developer alongside his brother, ultimately opening three dozen locations. 

“I told my wife, ‘One day we’re gonna have our own shore house. We’re gonna have the things we want.'” She believed him “one hundred percent,” Vicario shared. “She knew the type of person I am. I don’t believe in failure. For me, it was just a matter of grinding and grinding, and at some point, something will click.”

Vicario was able to realize his dream of owning a shore home when he and his brother sold their Hand & Stone locations back to the franchise. Thanks to his hard work, Vicario, his wife and three children, are able to enjoy the views of the shore every summer.
