Nation's Restaurant News: Coffee Bean to launch mobile ordering

Fans will be able to order ahead, have access to unique promotions and integrate their experience with Uber.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is introducing a new technological component to the guest experience. According to a recent article in Nation's Restaurant News, the brand will soon be launching a mobile app. This will allow for mobile ordering, designed to streamline a customer's visit to the store.

“When people want coffee or tea, they want it now and we want their orders to be ready when they are," said senior VP of operations, Aidan Hay. 

The feature is similar to that of the one offered by competitors Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts. However, the app does offer a unique twist. An integration with Uber allows those with the app to call a ride to The Coffee Bean quickly. 

The brand will also be offering promotions specific to those using their app.
