QSR: Kolache Factory Promotes Dawn Nielsen to Chief Operating Officer

QSR is reporting Dawn Nielsen has been promoted to Chief Operating Office of Kolache Factory. Nielsen had previously worked as Vice President of the Texas-based kolache franchise.

Nielsen is the daughter of John and Jerri banks, the co-founders of the 36-year-old Kolache Factory franchise, which is credited with popularizing kolaches, a Czech pastry filled with meats, fruits or cheeses, in West Texas.

Nielsen has worked at Kolache Factory since she was a child, sweeping floors and working behind the counter until she graduated from college with a degree in business administration, at which point she began working in marketing and advertising for the growing franchise brand.

“Dawn has literally grown up with the Kolache Factory and has continually added the knowledge and skills necessary to help grow the brand,” said John Banks, Kolache Factory President and Co-Founder. “She has already brought great things to the family franchise and I am excited to see where we can take this company together in the future.”
