How satisfied are you with your franchise development website?

We are very satisfied with the website.

What would you change on your franchise development website?

We would add separate landing pages and a territory map of available markets. We want to focus our efforts on a more granular level this year. Instead of taking a “shotgun approach” to marketing we want to you more of a “rifle approach.”  Showhomes is a specialty franchise that doesn’t appeal to a mass consumer base. With that in mind, we have a limited number of markets that are a perfect fit for our model.  We plan on hyper-focusing on 3 markets for the duration of 2018.

Is your site performing better or the same as last year and why?

So far traffic is up 94 percent.  We attribute this to being a combination of better website/better mobile functionality and larger shift to digital marketing focus.

How is your budget shifting to include digital?

It is almost 100 percent of our budget. We have spent money on every conceivable lead generation program over the last 20 years and at this point, digital provides the best return on investment.  We know our customer and franchise profiles and they are spending huge amounts of their time on social media and cruising the internet in general. Our primary targets are Facebook and Instagram as we are an extremely visual brand. The other part of digital where we are spending our resources is with Google. Trade Shows, print, and portals just haven’t done as well for our particular brand.

Do you expect to change your website in the next year and why?

We rolled out a new website just a year ago so any changes will be made to freshen it up and add some additional functionality.  We are a design based business so having on trend design is important so we will definitely be changing some of the photos and graphics.  We also plan on adding additional videos that will showcase our franchisees at work, a day in the life piece, along with video testimonials.  Having fresh content like this helps with the Google algorithms so we will continue to focus on these areas.
