As soon as Brian Allen took his first job in the restaurant industry, he knew he found his passion.

With a strong entrepreneurial spirit and love of the food service industry, Allen worked his way up through the ranks. After spending five years as an assistant manager at a local Florida restaurant and another two and a half years working as a service manager at Chili’s, he decided to break into the business for himself.

Allen researched numerous restaurant franchising opportunities before ultimately deciding to open a Lennys Grill & Subs. While he liked the idea of owning and operating a simple sandwich concept, he says he knew the brand was the right fit after trying its best-selling Philly Cheesesteak sub.

“I’m a firm believer that if you’re going to do something, you need to do it right. And that’s exactly what Lennys brings to the table. They go above and beyond when it comes to the quality of their products—Lennys sandwiches are better than any other competing brand out there,” said Allen. “Every sub that we serve is fresh and made-to-order. But that doesn’t mean our customers have to wait a long time to get their food—we aim to have our sandwiches on the table a few minutes after an order is placed.”

Allen’s first Lennys Grill & Subs franchise is now open for business in Cape Coral, Florida. He worked with the brand throughout the entire grand opening process—Lennys’ corporate team offered guidance and support from site selection all the way through to local marketing efforts.

“Our main goal on the corporate level is to help franchisees like Brian reach their full potential and realize their dreams of business ownership,” said Bob Ritter, vice president of franchise and market development for Lennys Grill & Subs. “Our systems are in place for a reason. We’ve proven time and time again—in different markets across the country—that when our best practices are implemented, local owners have an unbeatable competitive advantage.”

Allen is already seeing success by following Lennys Grill & Subs’ proven business model. Even though his restaurant opened its doors at the end of the summer, he’s already planning to bring the brand’s unbeatable menu to new communities across the Sunshine State.

“Even though we just opened up in Cape Coral, I’m already looking forward to expanding. My goal is to ultimately have five or six locations across Southwest Florida,” said Allen. “The opportunity for growth is here—there’s a real demand for the top quality sandwiches that Lennys offers across the state. As soon as customers try their first sub, they’re hooked. That’s why I’m confident I’ll experience success as a multi-unit owner.”
