Greater Lansing Business Monthly: Papa Murphy's Positions Itself for Rapid Growth in Lansing, Michigan

The leading take 'n' bake pizza chain is offering incentives for franchisees interested in developing the brand in the area.

Take 'n' bake pizza is taking hold of the Lansing market as Papa Murphy's launches expansion in the untapped market of Michigan's capital city. With plans for dozens of locations across the region, the brand believes that Lansing could support eight units.

“As a Take ‘N’ Bake concept, our customers encompass the entire general public, however, we actively target mothers and families looking to solve the “dinnertime dilemma” of providing their family with a high quality, home-cooked meal, without investing significant time or money,” said, Gary Payne, vice president of franchise sales. “While our concept has broad appeal to all consumers, we believe this type of customer is more loyal, seeking a higher-quality pizza and values the focus on freshness and quality that differentiates the Papa Murphy’s pizza-making process.”

The company's focus on high quality, fresh ingredients appeals to this family demographic, looking for great dinner options without all of the work and money of a full meal prep. They make their dough in-store everyday, fresh grate their cheese and offer high-quality meats and veggies.

Each of the eight locations would bring about 20-25 jobs to the community and the brand is even offering a reduced franchise fee and a royalty waiver for the first 12 months to accelerate growth in the area.

“These aggressive tactics are designed to show how serious we are about attracting the strongest franchise partners in the market, and how excited we are to develop through the entire Lansing region," Payne told the publication.
