Fast Casual: Zoup! Opens 100th Location in Hometown
Zoup! is set to open its 100th location in the town where it all started—Southfield, Michigan.
Zoup!, the fast casual concept that specializes in home-style soups, recently announced that its 100th location would be in Southfield, Michigan—the site of the very first Zoup! restaurant, which opened in 1998.
"As we approach the opening of our 100th restaurant, right here in our backyard, I'm reminded that none of this would have been possible without the entire Zoup! team that has worked tirelessly every day to bring really good soup—and the intangible qualities of comfort, warmth and well-being often associated with soup—to our guests all across the country," Eric Ersher, Zoup!'s founder and CEO, said in the release. "When we first created Zoup 18 years ago, after discovering that really good soup was hard to find, we knew we were onto something. We have a strong and successful business model and a solid foundation of authentic, hand-crafted soups; but in the end, it's our people who have brought us to this exciting time in our history."
The unit is under construction in Southfield's City Centre II complex and is owned by Vincent and Tonisha Bryant.
