Three experts share valuable insights from their own experiences within the franchise industry.

When looking for advice on achieving success within an industry, it helps to consult with people who have years of experience operating within it. The franchise industry is no exception. A recent Entrepreneur article featured three podcasters well versed in franchising and featured the biggest lessons that they have learned from the industry. 

Tom Scada of The Franchise Academy Show said that he learned "it takes a lot of time, money and marketing to change people’s habits” during his time as a Super Suppers franchisee. He advises potential franchisees to do thorough research on the outside factors that influence a brand before committing to it–not just looking into what the company is like on the surface level.

John P. Hayes reminded readers that it is necessary to fully buy into the system and trust in the proven strength of the franchise model. He explained that entrepreneurs who don't plan to follow the system miss out on essential tools that franchisors have put in place to help them succeed. 

Paul Segreto of Franchise Today discussed the importance of truly refining the system before franchising. Every detail from design to customer service should be perfected before branching out into the franchise world in order to create consistency in quality and experience.
