Famous Dave’s Shrinks Minneapolis Location To Focus On Delivery Menu

The award-winning barbeque concept remodels Uptown location to feature a smaller floor plan in order to put a bigger focus on its delivery menu.

The residents of Minneapolis are in for treat––Famous Dave’s* announced plans for an updated restaurant in its home city which features a smaller format in order to focus more on its delivery menu, according to an article from Franchise Times

The smaller store format is part of the BBQ concept’s ongoing, multi-year comeback plan that includes several new store designs that feature smaller buildings but still provide a bar-centric atmosphere.

The new restaurant will feature community tables as well as an updated menu with new food and beverage items, including shareable finger foods, handheld items and grab-and-go options, the Franchise Times article reports. The new menu also features fun new cocktails and non-alcoholic options.

The new menu items were designed with catering and delivery in mind, which recently has become a popular tactic for fast-casual restaurants wanting to compete in the delivery space. In order to further compete in the delivery space and elevate the customer experience, Famous Dave’s also launched a mobile app earlier this year.

“The new Minneapolis location is part of an effort to give our customers more of what they want, when they want it and continue to address their needs whether that be dining in our restaurant or enjoying our BBQ in the comfort of their own homes,” Famous Dave’s Chief Executive Officer Jeff Crivello said in a statement, according to the article.
