Family-oriented pizza franchise CiCi’s Pizza will say thanks to its fans Sept. 6 by offering their famed buffet for $2.99 from 11 a.m. to closing. This is the first year the chain of over 550 restaurants has run the promotion. According to a press release, CiCi’s Chief Marketing Officer Nancy Hampton said the timing purposefully falls during the hectic back-to-school season. "At CiCi's, we have families too, and we know how busy and expensive back-to-school can be. There's no better time to say thank you to the families that make our communities great," said CiCi's Pizza Chief Marketing Officer Nancy Hampton. Men’s and boy’s hair franchise Sport Clips announced the brand’s expansion strategy for the Canadian Market last week. According to a press release, Sport Clips, which has nearly doubled in unit size since 2008, is targeting Ontario, British Columbia, and Alberta. "Sport Clips is very excited about our expansion into Canada.  We have been looking for the right partner (Master Licensee) for some time and feel that we have found the right fit with Peter Kowal and his team," says Sport Clips Founder and CEO Gordon Logan.  "Peter, a native Canadian, has been coaching both franchisors and franchisees in the United States for years and is uniquely positioned to drive Sport Clips' growth in Canada.” The first Canadian locations are schedule to open in Ontario in early 2013.
