Buffalo Wild Wings has launched the first branded radio station on iHeart Radio. “B-Dubs Radio, powered by Wings, Beer and Sports” will feature contemporary hits with exclusive sports content, the week’s top sports match-ups, key rivalries, trivia and more. This is adding another element to the brand’s entertainment platforms, as it already has “B-Dubs TV” in its more than 1,000 restaurants in North America, as well as tableside tablets to allow fans to interact socially.

The Wahlberg brothers go to Canada
Wahlburgers, the better-burger restaurant founded by brothers Mark, Donnie and Paul Wahlberg, opened its first international franchise unit in Toronto. The first Canadian location for the brand is in Toronto’s ultra-luxury SoHo Metropolitan Hotel. To celebrate the brand’s new Canadian location, Wahlburgers will begin incorporating Canadian-theme dishes into the “burger of the month” program, beginning in December.

Dunkin’ Donuts gets in the holiday spirit
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at
Dunkin’ Donuts. The brand has released its two new holiday beverages, the Sugar Cookie Latte and the Snickerdoodle Latte. Both flavors are available hot or iced and are at participating locations through the holidays. The Peppermint Mocha coffees and lattes also will be back on the menu. There will also be a wide array of holiday gifts available in stores, including branded holiday ornaments and other merchandise.

7-Eleven to give away a franchise to a veteran
One lucky veteran will be awarded his or her own 7-Eleven franchise from the company’s first franchise giveaway, “Operation: Take Command.” The prize is worth $190,000. This is a multiphase competition that includes meeting 7-Eleven’s franchising qualifications and going through the standard interview process. The top three finalists will meet with Joe DePinto, 7-Eleven’s president and CEO. The competition launched on Veteran’s Day 2014 and will end on April 23, 2015, when a winner is announced.
