Fresh Coat has hired Nathan Millhouse as the company’s new Vice President of Operations.
As an experienced business coach, Millhouse will be focusing not only on helping new franchisees build strong businesses, but also on guiding successful Fresh Coat owners through growing and scaling their franchises into larger operations.
“At Fresh Coat, we do a great job of helping franchisees get on their feet and start successful businesses. I’m hoping, with my experience, we can continue that level of service while building our support structure for helping our owners expand their businesses by walking them through processes like building an office staff, handling human resources and becoming a CEO rather than running the day to day operations. We’ve been around more than a decade now, so many of our franchisees are ready for that step and I’m excited that we’ll be in a better position to help,” Millhouse said.
In addition to his coaching experience, Millhouse has a strong background in operations, including time in franchise leadership with GNC, AAMCO Transmissions and Total Car Care, Comfort Keepers, Complete Nutrition and Zounds Hearing, Inc. He also owned an AMMCO franchise for a few years.
“I knew Tara from a previous company and she was talking to me about what she was looking for in a VP. We were brainstorming about what kind of person she needed and, during the course of those conversations, I realized I was interested in joining the team. I was happy in my previous job and wasn’t planning on leaving, but joining Fresh Coat as the Vice President of Operations was an exciting opportunity to make an impact on a growing company. I couldn’t pass it up,” he said.
Riley said bringing Millhouse on board was as much as change in mindset and operations style as it was a change in staff.

Nate comes with a strong background of business coaching, has an MBA and has previously owned businesses.
