In This Week’s Episode of Food For Fashion: Dunkin’, Snoop Dogg and Beyond Meat?

Forget designer brands—the newest trend is QSR.

Last week, Popeyes debuted ‘That Look from Popeyes’, a new clothing collection inspired by Beyonce’s latest collection in her Ivy Park clothing line. It’s probably safe to say that the clothing line wasn’t in Popeye’s 2020 marketing plan, however once Beyonce launched her line, it was clear there was a correlation between the two: the newest Ivy Park collection featured a color scheme of orange and maroon.

Looks familiar, huh? This quickly turned into a massive marketing opportunity for the Louisiana Kitchen franchise, who sold out of its clothing line almost as quickly as its fried chicken sandwich.

It seems as though ‘food for fashion’ is the latest style trend. In this week’s episode of food for fashion, may we present Dunkin’, Snoop Dogg and Beyond Meat

According to Nation’s Restaurant News (NRN), Dunkin’ released its latest collaboration with entertainer Snoop Dogg and plant-based meat company Beyond Meat—a clothing line of streetwear. Yep, it’s true!

The line of sweat suits and joggers are covered in images and phrases associated with Snoop D-O-Double-G and Dunkin. The streetwear collection follows current fashion trends that rely on a younger, more casual clothing style wherein sweat suits work in public and not just at home, according to NRN. This brings together Snoop Dogg’s status as a cultural figure and Dunkin’s status as a major coffee QSR (quick-service restaurant) brand, blending the two cultural zeitgeist, NRN adds.

The line includes clothing items such as a bomber jacket, beanie, tracksuit, joggers and long and short sleeve t-shirts. All of the items feature the label “SNOOP x BYND x DNKN” and vary between the following three phrases: “Glazzed for Days”; “The OG Dunkin’”; and “D-O-Double Glazed”.

Honestly, this is just O-Double-D (that’s odd for those who didn’t catch on). But, fashion is a means of expression and who are we to tell people what to wear?

The collection launched today, so take a look for yourself on Dunkin’s online shop.
