International Workplace Group INFO

Why This Industry?

Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, remote work was on the rise, and coworking spaces — a segment that has grown at an average of 23% per year for a decade — had rightly been pegged as the next big innovation in office life. The pandemic accelerated that evolution dramatically, even reviving the once-presumed-dead WeWork. Today, 42% of the U.S. workforce is working remotely full-time, and the global coworking space market is projected to nearly double in size, from $7.97 billion to $13.03 billion, by 2025. Coworking spaces are the future of the global work environment.

Why Now?

The coworking space industry is exploding, but it’s only just begun. As mentioned earlier, the industry is expected to nearly double in size within five years. But that also means increasing interest among prospective franchise owners. Every month a prospect waits to sign on, the field gets a little more crowded, and the best real estate gets scooped up. Right now, prospects have the opportunity to join an established brand in an industry at the cusp of exponential growth. That is a rare and valuable opportunity.

The Investment

The total investment necessary to begin operation of a single-unit Regus® Office is from $549,000 to $998,000, excluding real estate leasing or acquisition costs. This includes $50,000 that must be paid to the franchisor. If you sign a Multi-Site Development Agreement, you pay a Development Fee equal to the sum of the initial franchise fee for the first Regus® Office to be developed, plus 50% of the initial franchise fee for each additional Regus® Office you agree to develop. The total investment necessary to enter into a Multi-Site Development Agreement with the development rights of 2 to 5 Regus® Offices is from $1,098,000 to $4,990,000, excluding real estate leasing or acquisition costs. This includes between $75,000 for 2 locations and $150,000 for 5 locations that must be paid to the franchisor.
