Jersey Mike's Donated 100% of Sales to Local Charities Yesterday

The sub sandwich franchise planned to raise over $6 on March 27 as a part of its annual Day of Giving.

Jersey Mike’s donated all of its sales to charity yesterday as part of its ninth annual Day of Giving, according to Fox Business. The sub sandwich franchise said that over 1,500 of its restaurants planned to participate this year, giving 100 percent of their sales to over 200 local charities of their choosing. Historically, Jersey Mike’s stores have supported the Make-A-Wish Foundation, children’s hospitals, youth organizations and food banks.

Last year, Jersey Mike’s Day of Giving generated $6 million for local charities, with over $377,000 going to sponsor 35 children’s wishes through Make-A-Wish alone, according to Fox Business. Since its launch in 2010, the Day of Giving has raised over $34 million for local charities and has donated more than two million free sandwiches to various good causes, according to the report.
