Jimmy John's Has a New Bite on the Menu: Small Sliders

Bigger doesn’t always mean better.

Whether this new debut is in response to Subway’s recent addition of sliders to the menu, Jimmy John’s has just entered the arena by adding a smaller and less pricey sandwich to its menu––but permanently, according to Nation’s Restaurant News.

The Little John sandwiches, which are 6.5 inches long compared to the standard 8-inch sandwiches, will be sold for $3. Customers will be able to order any of the sub shop’s Original sandwiches, one through six on the menu, along with the JJ BLT in the smaller size. To help spread the word of its new menu addition, Jimmy John’s promoted its new sliders with the help of rapper and musical artist Lil’ John.

“Everything our customers love about Jimmy John’s sandwiches can be found in the all-new $3 Little John,” said Jimmy John’s Chief Marketing Officer John Shea, according to the article.

Let’s cut to the chase, people love to snack. Subway and Jimmy John’s are satisfying “American’s burgeoning habit of between-meal snacking,” the article says––except Jimmy John’s is doing so permanently.

From promising to buy a lucky customer a house to making its very own wine, what’s next for Jimmy John’s?
