MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes Continues Rapid Growth Trend by Making its Massachusetts Debut
Franchisees Patrick Guay and Phil Howell are bringing the brand’s family-friendly concept to their home in Northborough.

For MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes, 2016 has been a year for the record books. The leading better burger brand is growing at incredibly rapid rates—more franchisees are signing on to bring its superior menu to new communities across the country. And now, on the heels of its 100th location celebration in August, the brand is opening its first location in Massachusetts.

The brand’s Massachusetts development is being spearheaded by Patrick Guay and Phil Howell, two neighbors who decided to jump into business together. They knew right off the bat that they wanted to buy into a restaurant franchise. But it wasn’t until they came across MOOYAH that they found the perfect fit for their home in Northborough.

“Between the two of us, we have eight children. So when we decided to go into business together, we really wanted to be a part of a restaurant concept that caters to the whole family. MOOYAH definitely checks that box,” said Guay. “But what really sold us on the brand is the food. We taste tested a number of different products, and nothing even came close to matching the level of quality and variety that MOOYAH brings to the table. With endless options on the menu, there’s something here for everyone.”

MOOYAH’s comprehensive, customizable menu also offers guests top quality food. The brand doesn’t compromise when it comes to its ingredients—everything from its condiments to its 100% Certified Angus Beef® burgers to its all natural chicken are sourced from the best possible suppliers. Every one of the brand’s fresh, never-frozen burgers are also paired with buns baked in-house or handcrafted lettuce wraps. Guests then have the opportunity to choose from five different cheese options, Applewood smoked bacon, sliced avocado and chili to complete their creations.

“There’s nothing else like MOOYAH around here, which is why we have no doubt that the restaurant will take off. The concept lends itself to all kinds of consumers, from families to teenagers looking to grab a bite to eat after school,” said Guay. “The brand also caters to its franchisees. Because of all the support we’ve received from the corporate team, we’re ready to hit the ground running and start building our business.”

Guay and Howell aren’t the only franchisees growing the MOOYAH brand in the state of Massachusetts—three additional restaurants are also being developed in the Boston Metro areas of Billerica, Boston and Berlin. This expansion comes as the brand is on pace to open 30 new locations this year alone.

“We’re thrilled to be launching our first restaurant in Massachusetts with Patrick and Phil leading the way. It’s eager entrepreneurs like them who open the door for our brand to grow,” said Michael Mabry, MOOYAH’s chief operating officer. “It’s clear that this is just the beginning for MOOYAH in Massachusetts. We’re confident that once consumers have the chance to try our food and see all that we have to offer, we’ll continue building a strong presence across the state.”
