A study found that when it comes to scheduling and training and accessing related materials, 57 percent of millennial hourly workers would prefer to use their personal mobile devices, according to a Restaurant Business report.

The study was completed by the digital workplace platform WorkJam and it polled 1,000 hourly employees in different industries, including hospitality and retail, according to the article.

“We’ve come a long way from the days when personal devices were frowned upon in the workplace,” the report stated, according to the article. “Today, our smartphones enable us to do more, and employers who continue to bar their employees from using them are falling behind.”
