11 years of success and never looking better. Old Carolina Barbecue Company is celebrating its 11th year anniversary and in honor of the special occasion, the brand is offering customers precisely what they want – more ribs. From July 2 to July 6, 2014, every Old Carolina Barbecue Company is offering full slabs of ribs for $11. The full slabs, which include 12 rib bones, are regularly priced at $19.99. “During the first week of July 2003, we sold our first rib bone in downtown Akron. We are honored that our loyal customers have stood by us and spread the word,” said Brian Bailey, Old Carolina Barbecue Company’s Co-Founder. “Celebrating our growth with $11 full slabs of ribs is a small way that we can give back to the people who have given us so much.” The barbecue brand was founded in 2003 when Bailey and co-founder Tim Hug created a secret barbecue recipe and took it on the barbecue circuit. Since then, they’ve been awarded more than 100 awards for the blend. At Old Carolina Barbecue Company, time is of the essence – brisket is cooked for 10 hours while ribs cook for four and a half –and all meat is prepared on-site with hickory wood. Currently, there are locations in Ohio and Michigan. On July 15, Old Carolina Barbecue Company will open its tenth location in Orville, Ohio.
