Community involvement has been a staple of the culture at Penn Station East Coast Subs since the franchise was founded. Recently, QSR Magazine ran a story on the recognition that the brand gives to local student athletes through its Athlete of the Year program.
“Our franchisees are happy to support local student athletes in their markets,” Craig Dunaway, president of Penn Station East Coast Subs, told QSR Magazine. “This program is a great way to reward students who excel both in the classroom and in high school athletics.”
Approximately $50,000 was donated by franchisees to student athletes in participating markets.
