Schlotzsky's Rolls Out Style and Menu Changes

The sandwich chain if offering beer and wine in an effort to appeal to more consumers.

Sandwich chain Schlotzsky’s is upgrading its look and feel, according to a report in QSR magazine.

The chain, which has more than 400 locations around the country, specifically wants to appeal to young millennial families with children who need a fast-casual dining-out option.

Eighteen locations have already been updated with the new style and menu options, which include beer and wine, and every location should be transitioned over by the end of 2019.

“All the research said young millennial families wanted places where they can take their kids, but mom and dad would like to have the opportunity to get a beer or glass of wine,” Schlotzsky’s president Kelly Roddy told QSR. “So, we added beer and wine, which has tremendously helped our dinner and weekend business. It’s making us a place that is very relevant and warm.”
