TechCrunch: Instagram’s Growth Speeds Up As It Hits 700 Million Users

Instagram’s user base continues to surge as it adds to its platform.

In two years, Instagram has doubled its user base to 700 million monthly active users and it’s not showing signs of slowing down.

The social media platform added 100 million users since December, while it took six months to go from 500 to 600 million users.

A spokesman for Instagram told TechCrunch that Instagram Stories has helped grow the app’s user count. Instagram Stories reached 200 million daily active users earlier this month.
