Top Legal Players: Len MacPhee, Co-Chair of Polsinelli’s Global Franchise and Supply Network Practice
MacPhee spoke with 1851 Franchise to outline some of the main legal hurdles the franchising industry is facing over the next year, as well as share his predictions for the future.
As an experienced franchise lawyer, Len MacPhee, a co-chair of Polsinelli’s global franchise and supply network practice, helps franchisors, franchisees and other businesses with everything from licensing and distribution to supply chain matters. Over the years, the industry has recognized MacPhee for the extensive knowledge he brings to the franchise world. He has been named a Denver Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers and a Legal Eagle by Franchise Times.
1851 Franchise caught up with MacPhee to discuss his story, his predictions for the future and what he loves most about working in the franchise field.
“Part of what originally drew me to franchising remains true today — you get to help entrepreneurs with respect to multiple areas of law,” said MacPhee. “That could be contracts, business relationships, negotiations, as well as intellectual property protection and regulatory environments. This is a great area as a lawyer because you get exposed to a lot of different aspects of the law.”
