TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Puts the Management Team Behind the Wheel in St. Louis
America’s largest moving franchise is in need of movers and drivers, but until they can hire more help in St. Louis, management is stepping up.
These days it’s hard to imagine an industry in desperate need of workers.
According to the St. Louis Business Journal, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is having a difficult time hiring enough movers and drivers to complete the number of job requests the brand is receiving in St. Louis. As a temporary solution, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® has employed management to step in and drive the trucks. While this plan will work for the time being, the moving franchise is still seeking to hire more help as the moving season has transitioned to the fall months surrounding concerns about COVID-19.
During a regular peak season, which is typically the summer months, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® has more than 200 workers in the St. Louis area. This year, the moving franchise only has 25 drivers and 30 movers.
"John Judson, one of the branch owners, has been driving a truck and. So have I," TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®’s St. Louis marketing manager Cathleen Jones, St. Louis marketing manager told the St. Louis Business Journal. "We are all hands on deck.”
