What’s the Hottest Look This Spring? Beyonce-Inspired Popeyes ‘Athleisure’

Yep, you definitely read that correctly.

Beyonce, everyone’s favorite singer, songwriter, actress, producer and clothing designer, recently launched the latest collection in her Ivy Park clothing line. News and photos of the new line have been all over social media with endorsements from celebrities such as Reese Witherspoon and Ellen DeGeneres.

And of course, members of the ‘Beyhive’ went crazy—the gender-neutral 'athleisure' line sold out within hours.

Per usual, Twitter users were quick to notice something oddly familiar about the line… The color scheme of the jackets, jumpsuits, shoes and accessories are similar to that of the Popeyes’ logo and uniform (insert laughing face emoji here). According to CNBC, one twitter user, @KennekaC, said: “Y’all. Beyonce chose that color scheme because she knew that it would sell out as fast as the Popeyes chicken sandwich did. #FnBrillant”.

Popeyes, a brand that certainly doesn’t like to miss out on a social media opportunity, quickly announced items inspired by its uniforms are now featured in That Look from Popeyes—a new clothing collection available while supplies last, according to CNBC. The models featured on the site are actual Popeyes’ employees, CNBC adds.

All proceeds will go to the Popeyes Foundation.

The Beyonce-inspired (or is it actually Popeyes’ inspired?) line isn’t the first time Popeyes delved into the clothing industry: It’s Ugly Christmas Sweater sold out in less than 14 hours when it was released in December.

Don’t be surprised when you’re walking down the street and see people sporting that good ol’ orange and maroon.
