Private Sector Adds 172,000 Jobs in June

This June, the private sector rose by 172,000 jobs, which is higher than the expected 159,000 jobs predicted. The increase in private sector jobs is due to gains in small-business jobs, according to ADP and Moody’s. Small businesses accounted for 95,000 of the jobs added in June.

McDonald’s Extending All-Day Breakfast Menu

Fans of the McDonald’s all-day breakfast menu will be lovin’ this brand’s latest announcement. On Wednesday, July 6, 2016, the Golden Arches said it would be adding biscuit sandwiches, McMuffin sandwiches, and McGriddles to the national all-day breakfast menu. After the fast food giant added the all-day breakfast menu, the brand posted its best U.S. quarterly sales in nearly four years.

Chipotle May Open a New Burger Concept Called “TastyMade”

After abandoning the “Better Burger” trademark last month, Chipotle may still be moving forward with a burger concept. According to a source close to the project, the fast-casual giant will be moving forward with the name “TastyMade.” According to a trademark application filed on May 10, 2016, the trademark “TastyMade” has been applied for. While Chipotle wasn’t listed as the application, Clement Hayes was listed as the attorney on record. His firm has worked with Chipotle for a number of years.

Salata Reinstating Franchise Program

Texas-based custom salad and wrap chain, Salata is reopening the brand’s franchise program. The new franchising program has requirements including multi-unit restaurant experience and a higher level of liquid assets. In addition to reinstating the franchise program, the chain is implementing new restaurant designs and opening a new headquarters.

Wienerschnitzel Celebrates 55th Anniversary with Discount

In celebration of Wienerschnitzel’s 55th anniversary, the brand will be cutting the prices of three classic hot dogs to 55 cents each. On July 11, 2016, customers can get Wienershnitzel’s original Chili Dog, Mustard Dog, and Kraut Dog for less than half of the everyday price.
