At 810 Billiards & Bowling, the growing South Carolina-based eater-tainment franchise, it’s not just about fun and games.

It’s about fun, games and doing some good in the community.

The brand, which currently has three locations, gained popularity by creating a modern approach to the classic outing of bowling and billiards by offering an upscale dining-and-bar experience and family-friendly atmosphere

In addition to bowling and billiards, guests can let loose to live music, test their videogame skills in a bustling arcade, or complete a round at the 18-hole mini-golf course. 810 also offers foosball, darts, jenga, corn hole, shuffleboard, chess and a range of other games to enjoy with groups or one-on-one with a glass of wine.

But there’s one more critical component of the brand’s rising popularity: community involvement.

In addition to hosting Toys for Tots toy-drive collections and helping local charities raise money by hosting events at discounted rates, 810 donates 5,000 free bowling games annually to charity golf tournaments, church fundraisers and school fundraisers for band, sports, cheer, dance and debate teams. It even offers $10 bowling and lunch packages for schoolchildren’s field trips.

“We want the community to know we are its biggest supporters,” said Susan Koch, Marketing Director for 810 Billiards & Bowling. “It’s important to us as a company to give back in some way. And because of our fun atmosphere and great food, we’re in a great position to do that.”

Recent highlights of 810’s community involvement include hosting a bowling-and-dinner benefit for North Myrtle Beach’s first responders, and donating a portion of one day’s bowling sales to support a North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce Thanksgiving food-drive initiative for locals in need.

In fact, the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of commerce named 810 Billiards & Bowling – North Myrtle Beach “Large Business of the Year” for 2019–2020, in recognition of its achievements in the community.

Today, as 810 begins to grow nationally through franchise opportunities — new locations are slated to open in Phoenix and Chandler, Arizona, and the brand is actively seeking qualified franchisee candidates in new markets across the country — the brand is committed to carrying that same spirit of community involvement wherever it goes.

“We want to prioritize forging lasting relationships with local charitable organizations in all our new markets,” 810 President Mike Siniscalchi said. “It's a win-win. These collaborations introduce new folks to the 810 concept, while also raising money for a good cause in our community.”

As the company looks beyond the current pandemic restrictions, Siniscalchi is eager to accelerate the 810’s community-outreach efforts.

“From charity fashion shows that benefit our local food- and shelter-insecure residents to welcoming back schoolchildren through our field trip programs, we are excited and ready,” he said.
